Musger Mg-19B model aeroplane kit, scale 1:6, 2933 mm wingspan, Lasercut wooden parts, E214 profile, 1350 mm fuselage length, 2000 g RTF, RC glider model wooden kit, model kit to build
yourself
This aeroplane is a wonderful glider for beautiful hours of flying in the summer twilight (E214 profile).
The end result is a decelerating model aeroplane with a guaranteed fun factor.
The Musger Mg-19B has a filigree construction and is only suitable for slope flying and motor towing to a limited extent (due to the filigree construction).
Tony has summarised the entire build on our YouTube channel in five video parts.
Musger Mg-19B model aircraft, 2933 mm wingspan, 1:6 scale, E214 profile
The Musger Mg-19B was a further development of the Austrian glider Mg-19, originally designed by Richard Musger in the late 1930s.
The design was partially continued during the Second World War, but it was not until the post-war period that it went into wider production.
The “B” variant was characterized by slight improvements to the fuselage and wings, which optimized the flight behavior.
Due to its stability and robustness, the Mg-19B was widely used in gliding in the 1950s and 1960s.
Some examples can still be seen today in museums or at historical air shows and are a reminder of the Austrian gliding tradition.
