This aeroplane is a wonderful glider for beautiful hours of flying in the summer twilight (SD7032 profile).
The end result is a decelerating model aeroplane with a guaranteed fun factor. The DFS Kranich has a filigree design and is suitable for slope flying and motorised towing to a limited extent.
If required, a motor can be installed at your own discretion.

Der DFS Kranich war ein in den 1930er-Jahren entwickeltes, zweisitziges Segelflugzeug der Deutschen Forschungsanstalt für Segelflug (DFS).
Unter der Leitung des Konstrukteurs Hans Jacobs entworfen, diente er sowohl als Schulungs- als auch als Leistungssegler.
Dank seiner robusten Bauweise und guten Flugeigenschaften fand der Kranich schnell Verbreitung in deutschen Segelflugvereinen.
Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs wurde er zudem in der militärischen Flugausbildung eingesetzt.
Auch nach Kriegsende blieben einige Exemplare in Betrieb, sodass man den Kranich noch heute vereinzelt in Museen oder bei historischen Flugveranstaltungen sehen kann.
