RAF SE5a Slow Flyer kit, 380 mm wingspan, 1:20 scale, Clark-Y, Tony Ray
The Royal Aircraft Factory SE5a was a British fighter aircraft that entered service in 1917 during the First World War.
It was characterized by its robust construction, high speed and good stability, which made it an extremely reliable escort and interceptor.
Well-known pilots such as Albert Ball and Billy Bishop achieved numerous aerial victories with the SE5a.
Despite its slightly lower maneuverability compared to other models, it was considered one of the most effective Allied aircraft in the air war.
Some restored examples can now be seen in museums and at air shows, testifying to their significant contribution to the development of military aviation.
